Editorial Policy
FIF is a reference directory of founders, billionaires and the companies behind them. Our aim is to be the most accurate, up-to-date and well-sourced answer to questions such as “who owns this company” and “what is this person worth”.
Facts and sources
- Every factual claim carries a numbered citation that links to its source in the list at the bottom of the page.
- We prefer primary and established sources: company filings and annual reports, stock exchange disclosures, Forbes, Bloomberg, Hurun, Reuters and major Indian business publications. Wikipedia is used only for background biography.
- Where sources disagree, we show both figures and name each source.
- If a fact cannot be verified, we leave it out or say it has not been published.
Tone
We write in a factual, neutral and plain style. We lead with the answer, use dated figures and avoid hype, flattery, gossip and speculation.
Controversies
Legal cases, disputes and criticism are reported briefly and neutrally, with the response of the person or company where one has been published.
Privacy and children
For family members we publish names and public roles only. We never publish addresses, schools or photos of children, and we do not name children who are minors.
Images
Photos of real people come from licensed or official sources. Some pages use illustrative images of places, products or industries; these never show a real person’s face.
