Questions
Is net worth the same as income?
No. Net worth is the value of everything a person owns minus what they owe, and for billionaires it is mostly company shares. It builds up over decades and moves with share prices. This tool compares that stock of wealth with how much you could save from your salary.
What does the calculator assume?
That you save your whole monthly income, earn no interest or returns, and that the fortune stays at its latest estimate. Real savings are lower and investment returns would shorten the time, so read the result as a sense of scale, not a forecast.
Where do the net worth figures come from?
Each figure is the latest estimate on the person’s FIF profile, with its publisher and date, usually Forbes Real-Time Billionaires. Rupee values use ₹95.3 to the dollar.
